Police investigating fatal stabbing in Concord
CONCORD, NC (WBTV)- Officers are investigating a stabbing that left one person dead Monday afternoon, according to the Concord Police Department.
Monday shortly after 4 p.m. officers were called to Heatherwood Court in Concord to investigate a report of an assault.
Once at the scene, police and emergency medical personnel discovered a body with at least one stab wound.
Tuesday, investigators identified the victim as 23-year-old Desmond Travon Cox.
Officers told WBTV the investigation indicates the people involved in the dispute were acquainted with one another, and that those involved had been identified and were being interviewed.
