8th annual Festival of Trees in Concord
The Mariam Hayes Society is holding its eighth annual Festival of Trees fundraiser.
Proceeds go to support the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County.
There are several events:
Deck the Halls
The gala kicks off the festival at the Hotel Concord (14 Union Street in Concord) Friday at 7:30 p.m. Participants can enjoy creatively decorated trees, heavy hors d'ouevres, dancing and an open bar. Entertainment is being provided by "Groovetown". Tickets are $75.
Candyland
Children are invited to an afternoon of fun activities including a visit with Santa, Saturday 1 - 2:30 p.m. Admission is free if accompanied by an adult. Otherwise, it is $10.
Lunch Among the Trees
The society is hosting a buffet-style lunch, Sunday noon to 2 p.m. The cost is $15 for adults, $8 for children.
